Mission, Vision, Values for School Districts
Utilizing an inclusive approach that taps into the perpsective of educators, adminsitrators, community members, students, and external best practices, we work with educational communities to identify what is most important to them, who they want to be, and how to best articulate their goals for the district.
We typically form a committee of individuals who participates in the planning work to articulate a mission, vision statement, and values, and facilitate meetings in which we brainstormed ideas, consolidate those ideas, and narrow them into themes that the committee feels are important.
We administer surveys to teachers, students, and the community to better understand what is most important to them about their experience in the school district and how we can represent them in these critical statements.
We also conduct focus groups with all parties to seek deeper understanding of survey results, and learn the “how” or “why” behind particular survey responses.
Finally, a product that articulates the districts mission statement, vision statement, and values is created, shared with the Board of Education, and approved for use.
